My 9 week old infant had been sleeping through the night from 8:30pm to 6am for 4 wks...i know thats great?

Recently this week he began waking numerous times throughout the night. of course i would change his diaper and give him a bottle uming he is maybe going through a growth spurt but even has a hard time falling back asleep. it takes me about an hour. Also he always fell asleep with a pacifier and still does but once asleep i would take it out of the crib and he would sleep. Now this week, I can hear him sucking on his hands and sometimes thumb....does anyone know what this could mean?
