Hair problem? [[guy?]]?

ok so im asian right? and of course most asians tend to have short hair..but big problem..literally i have a huge forehead. so i want hair that can cover my forehead. but one problem whenever i TRY to grow out my hair the front seems fine but the sides instead of going over the ears it likes pops out like yea and the back to theres no way for it to like stick to my head.. know what i mean? oh and btw my hair is really thick like one strand of mine is like 3 strands of a normal american. haha yea i compared. but yeah i want it kinda like zac efron-ish or jesse mccartney ish but not jesses new haircut like his old haircut.. and i just want to know what i should tell the salon lady.. cuz i really dont want to bring a picture of either zac or jesse to a salon. i mean seriously what would people think. and fyi my whole life i never got a haircut that i actually liked i mean its always my forehead showing . pops out on the side..blah blah blah and a decent haircut is a ginormous improvement.
