Getting in shape for the Marines?

Well just do some light running just prepare mentally. Last thing you want to do is push yourself too hard before basic and end up getting hurt. My dad who served in my army said one of his buddys before they joined would run with 80 pounds on there back. He asked him what he was doing. He said to my day "well im getting ready for the marines" My dads response was "you dont have to worry about getting in shape they will do that for you." Now im not saying be a bum who does nothing but take it easy. Good luck by the way i leave october 28 for the army. God bless you.
