Did i fracture my wrist?

Yesterday I was sitting on a bench with my dog on a leash when my dog all of a sudden noticed a squirrel and ran at it. My hand stayed with a firm grip on the leash and ended up ramming my wrist into the edge of the wooden bench. It was excruciating and i have quite a sc on my skin from where it skidded along the wood. My dog is a very strong pit-bull/boxer mix - so it was a good amount of force. I have minor swelling and no discoloration so i'm thinking my wrist is fine. When i go to pick up something with that hand i get a sharp pain at the top of my wrist that goes deep inside it feels. I thought fractures always had black/blue bruising that came along with them - so I am thinking I am fine but I am still concerned. I am a 29 year old woman that is very thin (5'8", 100 lbs) but I have never broken any bones whatsoever.
