Anyone know the name of this children's book?

I had this book read to me when I was very young (so like, mid 90s probably) and I don't remember all the details... but there was a pumpkin patch and a quilt involved... I remember that this little girl kept taking one square from her quilt and putting it on a different pumpkin (so that they wouldn't freeze I think) until she didn't have any quilt left... I think at the end all the quilt squares get caught up in the wind and make a quilt around the moon or something. Anyone? I've discovered that there are a lot of books about pumpkins and quilts for some reason, but none are the one I'm looking for :(
