1994 plymouth duster bad wire?

I have this 1994 Plymouth Sundance Duster and the fan wire dosent make any connection when i start the car so the fan dosent work and the car overheats. I wonder how hard it would be to change the wire myself? Like how much time and all? Or how much it would usually cost to get a mechanic to fix it.
